A special invitation to Bickel Families who will be attending Morningside next year. Please take this opportunity to help your families prepare for next year.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Just a reminder that tomorrow, Friday, March 14th, we will have early dismissal at 12:45 PM. We will dismiss after all the students eat lunch.

Reminder: School is dismissed at 2:00 on Mondays.

The staff at Bickel did many THINGS to celebrate Read Across America Week. They read Dr. Seuss stories and symbolized them in the clothes that they wore each day. The game was to see if the students picked up on the staff all dressing the same. From Stars and Stripes, to crazy hats and wacky hair everyone had lots of fun. Don't forget to submit your child's reading minutes for the week to their teachers.

It’s that time again! ⏰ Don’t forget to spring forward—Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday, March 9th! Set your clocks ahead one hour.🌞 #DaylightSavingTime #SpringForward

Good evening, Bickel families!
The PTO is currently in need of parent volunteers for ISAT testing in April and ISIP testing in May! Parent volunteers would act as an observer for the exam that will be proctored by a teacher. This may include escorting kiddos to the restroom when needed. Please feel free to bring a book to read or another silent activity to keep yourself busy during your shift if you sign up! We are in need of 3-4 parents for each day.
These are the dates and times that testing will be held:
Tuesday April 15th 8:15-10:15 am
Thursday April 17th 8:15-10:15 am
Tuesday April 22nd 8:15-10:15 am
Thursday April 24th 8:15-10:15 am
Tuesday May 6th 8:15-9:30 am
Wednesday May 7th 8:15-9:30 am
Please feel free to respond to this email or reach out to Jenna O'Dell at 208-490-2400 with any questions or to sign up for any (or all!) times available!
Photos from the last Attendance Store - PTO parents volunteered here, too!

Congratulations to last week's readers. Miss. McNeil's class read more than anyone else in the school. Keep up the great work.

A very special thanks to 208 Realty for their recent donation. Jill Stone, Olivia Jackson, and Terry Winkle of 208 Realty dropped off tissues and disinfecting wipes from a drive that they had at their office. We truly appreciate their generous gift.
Reminders: School dismisses at 2:00 on Mondays. Also, please sign-up for your parent teacher conference at

One of the many new games that our Bobcats enjoy playing at recess is called Roller Ball!

It seems like it was just last week that we announced the Penny War Competition. It looks like a tight race between popcorn and popsicles. Tomorrow will decide who reigns victorious. Tomorrow will be the last day to put your 2 cents in on who should win. Thanks everyone!

Bickel Parent Open House – February 25th @ 6:00 PM (Bickel Cafeteria): The district will be addressing parent questions about new school zones. Staff from Morningside, Oregon Trail, and Lincoln will also be present.

Ms. Angell's first graders recently read several versions of The Little Red Hen. Then they all helped bake a cake. Everyone wanted to help, nobody said, "Not I!" Everyone helped to eat the cake, too.
