Hello, my name is Michelle Jones. I spent my childhood on a small island in Alaska. It wasn’t unusual to find me and my brothers hiking and walking the creeks, fishing off the docks and swimming in the ocean. I attended college in Alaska, South Lake Tahoe California and Reno Nevada. I have a Child Development Associate degree. I have always loved working with children of all ages. I have worked at Magic Valley High School for 13 years. I have worked in different capacities for head start, community child care, other high schools as well as private child care centers in California and Reno I was excited when I got the opportunity to work as the Child Care Supervisor at Magic Valley High School. In my position I help guide and model parenting skills that will foster healthy attachments and positive choices that will last young parents even after graduation.
MVHS Child Care
Magic Valley High School offers an on-campus Child Care program designed to support student-parents as they continue their education. This unique resource provides a safe and nurturing environment for young children while allowing their parents to focus on academic goals just steps away. By offering high-quality care during the school day, the program helps student-parents stay on track to graduate while also giving them the opportunity to build a strong, daily connection with their children. It's one more way MVHS helps students overcome barriers and create a successful path forward.
